Upon arrival, welcome and transfer to your hotel. Then set out on a Yangon city tour featuring many interesting sights and sounds including a visit to Sule – the heart of Yangon to see the city’s daily life amidst the fine old colonial architecture. Enjoy an interesting welcome lunch with a Historical Introductory Lecture by a well known Myanmar historian “Dr. Khin Maung Nyunt” at Sandy Myanmar Cuisine.After lunch visit tothe Art Galleryof Myanmar’s leading artistMr. Min Wei Aung, whooften has Art Exhibitions in locations out of Myanmar like New York andLondon. Hisstyle of painting is unique in both watercolour and oil for very typical Myanmar scenes and portraits. Opportunity to interact with him to learn about his painting style. Later on, go tothe most important sight of Yangon, the awe-inspiring golden Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagoda complexes in all of Asia. Enjoy a special private function of 1000 oil-lamps offering on Shwedagon with a brief religious chant at Dusk. Dinner tonight is at Karaweik Palace Restaurant with Cultural Entertainment (Buffet International Cuisine)
Overnight in Yangon (L, D)
After early breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, meet and transfer to Mount Popa which isone and a half hour drive away from Bagan. Mount Popa isan extinct volcano and home for spirit (Nat)worshiping. You will be fascinating seeing the green vegetation in the very dry zone of Bagan plain. Enjoy visiting toddy-palm villages on the way, enjoy local farmers’ daily lie and their hospitality. It is very interesting to see how peanut oil is extracted by traditional method from organically grown peanut.Upon arrival at Mount Popa, be transferred toPopa Mountain Resort at the forestry camp at the base of the Mt. Popa. Lunch at the resort followed by a visit to the spirit worshipers place learning the 37 figures of Nat Gods. Walk up to the hillock of Mt. Popa, which is naturally form bypiling up of the stones molten lava from the eruption millions of years ago.Then embark on a horse back riding tour back to Popa Mountain resort from the Hillock. End the day enjoying a great sunset over the Bagan Plain. Dinner at Popa Mountain Resort.
Overnighton Mount Popa (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive back to Bagan. Upon arrival, set out on a sightseeing in Bagan including Nyaung Oo’s morning market to observe the local crafts, a pottery shop, and vegetables used for medicinal purposes. Next, visit to the Swezigon Pagoda, supposedly built to enshrine one of the four replicas of the Buddha tooth. Then, on to the Gupyaukgyi Temple, which contains the oldest mural paintings of Bagan. End your morning trip at the famous Ananda Temple; one of the best preserved temples. Lunch is at the Sunset garden Restaurant. Afternoon, continue visiting the Lacquer wareGallery to witness the processand enjoy the artist’s explanation. This is the native traditional art of the whole Bagan region and every villager knowsthe art from their ancestors. The lacquerware handicraft centre specially led by the reputable lacquerware specialist”Mr.U Ba Nyein” who is the leading Lacquerware producer in Bagan. It has been three generationsthey are running the productionsuccessfully.Continue the archaeological study of ancient Bagan by visiting Manuha & Nanpaya Temple, built in the early 13th century and which has a reclining Buddha and unique sandstone carvings. Then, enjoy taking a horse cart ride among the temples and villages and meetings its friendly people and observing their way of life. End the day at Ywahaunggyi Temple with splendid panoramic view of Bagan’s temples and Ayeyarwady River. Dinner tonight at Nanda Restaurant with Puppet show performance

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, meet with your guide and embark on a tour to Mahamuni Temple, the landmark of Mandalay. Then pay a visit to the celeberated artist Mr. Sein Myint’s Embroidery Gallery.His works hang on the wall of United Nations General Assembly Hall. He also owns a nice collection of ancient art of Burma, in particular from the last Kingdom of Burma. End your morning witnessingthe gold-leaf pounding process in the Mandalay Cottage Handicraft quarter.Enjoy lunch at A Little Bit of Mandalay restaurant. Continue to explore this capital ofthe last kingdom of Myanmar. Visit Mandalay Palace and enjoy the stories ofRoyal families.Glide to the foot of Mandalay Hill and visit Golden Palace teakwood monastery towitness the typical wooden monastic architecture. For a change of taste, enjoy dinner tonight with Thai cuisine at Ko’s Kitchen restaurant.

This morning is free at leisure to wander about to explore the city on your own, then transfer to theairportfor the flight to Kyain Tong.Upon arrival in Kyain Tong airport, meet and transfer to your hotel for relaxation. Embark on a light trekto Wan Sai village of Aku Tribe, Naung Tong Lake, and sunset on a hill. Dinner is at Royal view restaurant
Overnight in Kengtong Princess Hotel (Superior Room) (B, L, D)
Note: Kengtong has only recently opened up, so the restaurants and hotels are very basic
Today, wind your way to some hill-tribe village.Kengtong is the ethnological paradise and here you will see traditional long houses, different costume, culture, daily life.Start the trip at Kengtong fresh market and water buffalos selling spot. Then, glide to Ho Kyin villages of typical Akha tribe by 50-minute drive. From there, proceed to another village called Nam Phi Phank village on a 30-minute trek, where Lahu and Akha tribes could be observed. Onward to Phata Akha village and to Paung Ma Phai Akha tribe village to learn more about their daily lives. Make a stop at the traditional blacksmith village of Lahu calledMong Zinevillage. Enjoy picnic lunch at the village. On the way back to Kengtong, en route spend some time at Joe Phyu village to see the alternative way of life of the Wa tribe.Back to hotel to relax, and enjoy Shan style Yunanese food at Lot-Htin-Lu restaurant.
Overnight in Kengtong at Princess Hotel (Superior Room) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, wind your way to Pin-Thauk village and then hiking to witness the way of life of the Enn tribe. Picnic lunch is at the pleasantPin-Tauk Water fall. Continue to visit Wan-Lau village making Shan Paper from the bamboo. Be fascinated by the spectacular scenery of the monsoon forest and the plain rice fields looking like a green patchwork blanket.Dinner with Shan style Cantonese food at Lok-Tha restaurant
Overnight in Kengtong (B, L, D)
Morning light trekking to an area called Pin Tauk area, where Enn and Akha tribe reside. The scenery along the way is very pleasant with lush monsoon forest and a view of paddy fields.The villages situated on the higher slope of the mountains. Picnic lunch by the water fall. Then return to Kyaing Tong and checkout the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, transfer 1 hour to Lake Inle. Enjoy an orientation tour on this magical lake by private motorboat, featuring boatmen with their unique ‘one-legged’ rowing style; and visits to floating houses built on stilts. There would also besome time for you to stroll around thelake and enjoy the scenery. Dine independently this evening.
Overnight on the Lake (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, cruise to visit the traditional 5-day-market of Inle area, seeing different tribal people in their colourful costume, who are coming to the market from the nearby villages to sell their indigenous agricultural product. Head to HaungDawOo Pagoda, floating villages and meet the hill tribal folk, with their unique way of life, the floating gardens for growing vegetables, local handicraft cottages. Make a visit to the Textile Gallery, and have high tea together withdesigner, Ms. Moe Moe and listen to her presentation on her artwork. Shehas an extraordinary art as she produces hand wovenfabric from lotus plant growing on the lake.Ancient monastery (the ‘jumping cats’ monastery) would also a nice stop.Optional: enjoy a scenic trip up a narrow creek to visit the idyllic site of Indein with its 17th century pagodas in an ‘Indiana Jones’ type setting. Then transfer to Heho airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival in Yangon, meet and transfer to your hotel.Tonight enjoy farewell dinner with Western cuisine
